NExT Exam Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must fulfil the NExT exam eligibility criteria before applying. The National Exit Test is open only to individuals who satisfy the following requirements:

Complete MBBS Degree: Graduate from an NMC-approved medical school, with at least 50% in your marks.

Foreign Medical Graduates: Hold a primary medical qualification recognised by the National Medical Commission and approved for licensure in India.

Different Medical Degrees: Have any other medical qualifications as stated and recognised by the NMC.

Internship Completion: After passing NExT Step 1, finish the mandatory 12-month internship to qualify for NExT Step 2.
NExT Exam - Application Form 2025

Step 1. Conducted on the computer, it involves 540 multiple-choice questions (MCQS in six papers. It covers subjects taught in the third year and the final MBBS course.
Step 2. A live examination including practical, clinical and viva based quizzes. It covers seven subjects through simulated cases in order to test clinical skills.
